Yes, we’ve finally locked down a venue and will be holding Canberra’s inaugural BarCamp in a few weeks on Saturday, 19 April. If you’re interesting in business, blogging, podcasting, social networking, Free Australia Wireless and Merakis, web design, Information Architecture and anything like that then please come on down to the CSIT building at the ANU on the 19th at 10:00am.

It’d be great if you have something you’d like to present - there will be A/V gear available - however if you just want to come down to see what other people are doing, learn new stuff and participate in discussions that would be equally as awesome.

So if you’re planning to attend please head over to the BarCampCanberra v1 registration wiki page and edit the page using the password “c4mp” and add your name to the table (just look at how other people have done it).

We had a semi-impromptu CTUB2.5 last Monday when Ajay (@funkycoda) was in town with @trib, @zuzu and myself … but having realised that the video I took on my Asus Eee PC at CTUB2 3 weeks ago was not 5 meg but 500 kb I’ve uploaded it to Vimeo (upon suggestion from @Synapse):

Looks like many people won’t be able to attend - and I myself have double-booked so I’ll actually be in Sydney this afternoon.

Due to this, we’re pushing CTUB2 back a week till the following Friday, the 8th of February.

Sorry for any inconvenience and I hope you all get this message (also posted on CTUB Twitter feed and Upcoming) before you head over to Debacle at 5:30!

No change to original plans - it’s going ahead, Friday 1 February 5:30 Debacle, Braddon.

Thanks to Andrew, Donna, Noel, Ajay and Susan who joined me today for Canberra’s inaugural Twitter meet-up at Gus’ Cafe in Civic for lunch. Unfortunately Ruth, Tim, Stephen and Gabrielle would have liked to come but couldn’t make it.

We’re planning on having a CTUB meet-up during the day at lunchtime on Monday 17 December, somewhere in Civic (Gus’?).
